Edinburgh Festival 2015. The Edinburgh Festival offers a multitude of photographic opportunities. There are two ways to travel: Car share and park in an out of town park & ride. Less than five mins from the A1 and costs less than £1 to park. Then it's less than £3 for an all day ticket to travel on Lothian buses. Train: If we book early enough, on an offer you could get a 1st class return with meals for less than £40. Often just over £30. I have been the last two years by both car and train. My train fare was £22 as I booked only the week before (Standard class). We could also look at having an overnight stay. Again going either by car or train, tho' I'd suggest that for ease, the car would be the better option as we would more than likely have to stay some way out from the town centre.
The Festival runs from 7th-31st August. I would suggest some time between 10th-14th. A mid-week visit, either day or overnight would be best. The Festival is extremely popular and as most Edinburgh weekends are busy, I would think 'Festival' weekend's would be horrendous.
