Our first print competition of the season drew a large entry 63 prints from 17 members. Our guest Judge for the night was Will Ireland from Washington CC. There was a nice mix of styles and genres and some very nice work form a lot of our new members, So a big well done to them and every one who made an entry. One the Night Joe Laws grabbed the top place.
Print Competition No 2 - Rusty and Crusty Our second print competition of the season and first with a theme -Rusty and Crusty AND was judged by Vince Rooker DPAGB, EFIAP, APAGB. Vince gave excellent comments and criticisms and I'm sure everyone appreciated them. The entry was a little down from Comp No1 to 50 prints from members 14.
Print Competition No3 - Still Life On Tuesday we held our final print competition of the season. The theme was Still Life and the invited judge was Dave Illingworth who provided an entertaining evening with Humour worth while comments and some sound advice. Here you will see the winning prints but that was not the full story a few excellent images just failed to get in to the final few those were : How Long is a Piece of String by Tommy Burrell, Spiral by Sheila Brunger, tatties for Tea & Writing About Hokusai by Glenda Staples - stood out - there were many fine prints in this competition which was full of bright ideas, differing styles of Still Life and Colour.
