This coming Tuesday sees club member Mick Gibson showing some wonderful old photographs of Gateshead from the past - I'm sure that we will all find the old images very interesting and, for some bring back memories of what the town and the surrounding area was like before town planners where given almost free reign to pull down and redesign our towns.
By that I mean our selection of six prints which will be our entry to the South Tyne Area Print Competition 2010, more news on that in late February. Well done to those who's prints were selected and to everyone who made and brought prints along and for some wise comments on the work! - I suspect the next club print competition will have a good entry!!

We now have available stock of 20x16 inch mounting boards, in Black or White ,and later this week we should have backing boards. This means with recent purchase of printing paper and the boards members have the ability to make and mount A3 prints a a very good price. A price will be published later this week.
We should also have the date for the first of out Saturday sessions which I would hope to be the in a couple of weeks - in the first session I would expect that we will have a printing setup going, along with a couple of Photoshop tutorials and of course the possibility of getting out with your cameras and picking up a tip or two!
And remember that these sessions are based at our normal meeting room and are planned to run from noon til 3.00pm, there is NO charge for these as the good guys at the West End Club have agreed to let us use the room with out charge
