In response to last night meeting here is some info on events at Corbridge. Both events take place at Tynedale Park, Corbridge.
First is the Northumberland County show - which takes place on the Bank Holiday Monday the 31st of May, for more information click HERE
And over the weekend of 12th and 13th of June is The 32nd Annual Steam and Vintage Rally .
Then a little later in the year on July 4th is the Classic Cars in Northumberland. Where you should see a fine display of Veteran, Vintage and Classic Vehicles plus WW II Re-enactment and more. Bar and Refreshments are available Start: 11 am. Adults £3 accompanied children FREE.
So we have plenty of options there , have a think and if we have time next Tuesday we can have a further chat about it all
Click this LINK to see some truly spectacular Images taken on or around 16th and 17th of April 2010 of the Eyjafjallajokull Volcano in Iceland, which we know caused considerable disruption to air traffic all over the world - well if you wanted to flay back to Europe that is. . .
For those of us who turned out on Tuesday - you can now relive Richards comments on the website - and for those who were not there take a look. You can find by rolling your mouse over the download menu and clicking 'PORTRAITS AS TAKEN.. . .. . .. enjoy.
Well at last we get to see those portraits, which some of us had taken of each other a few weeks ago. They zoomed off to Madrid for Richard to take a look at, and on Tuesday night we get to see the images with his comments - this is a first for us and I think could be a first within the NCPF where files have been emailed somewhere for comment and then returned as a slide show with the integral audio commentary.
Please take notice of post No 35/10.
Next week we are having a brainstorming session this is important for the future of our club, and your views on the past and next season are required.
If you can't make it on the night please email me with your thoughts and suggestions
You can now see all the successful Images from the final PDI competition of the season on the Competitions page PDI 2009/2010 sub pages - - -
Did anyone else spot the 1970's punk'ish theme in Jim's two images . . .
Eddie and the Hot Rods - Do anything ( you wanna do).
The Jam - Going Underground.
This is Judging night with David Stout for the last of our three PDI competitions.
However equally important is -- that it is also the entry night for the 'Best of the Best 2009-2010' - now Dave Hudspith has all the eligible PDI entries so you need not bother yourselves with that, what you do need to do is bring along any prints that you have which need entering - that is any print which has been entered and gained either HC / 3rd /2nd or 1st place.
Take a look at our competitions page where all (well almost all!) of the winning Images can be seen.
Well this was really a story of three photographer's Brigitte Appleton, Richard Watson and the clubs newest member and with his first competition entry Jim Wicks - the full full results well appear soon on our 'Competitions ' Page as soon as I get all the Images sorted out.
